Our goal here at 21st Century Women’s Ministries is to Teach, Train and Empower women of all ages and stages of their potential to succeed in life for it is through Jesus Christ we can do all things but we have to do our part, which is to study and apply the Word of God to our everyday life.
Our mission statement is based on Titus 2:3-5 (TBE)
...teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
As women, we often serve in varies roles, from volunteers to employees to family member, mother, wife, mentor and friend. Organizing so much can be overpowering or in some cases overwhelming but it does not have to be.
In the 21st century, women have to deal with so many issues, that most times they find themselves riding a roller coaster of mixed emotions. It is so very easy to neglect our own spiritual and physical needs, such as quality time with the Lord in prayer and meditation, proper rest, food and exercise.
Fatigue makes cowards of us all - Vince Lombardi
If we allow our spiritual and physical needs to go unserviced we become prey to emotional breakdowns such as stress, depression, hopelessness, poor diet, hypertension, angina, aneurysm, skin problems, crohn's disease, allergies, cancer and a break down of the immune system just to name a few.
Medical Science and researchers has proven that 87% of disease are based on negative emotional thoughts and behavior which all stems from the thought process. Neurologically speaking your heart is ultra sensitive to what you think and feel and your thoughts directly affects the state of your heart and mind set says most leading doctors and learning specialist.
Hosea 4:6 reads "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"
When you understand something, you have control over it instead of it having control over you. The "it" in this illustration is your thought life.
Did you know that toxic emotions cause and creates heart ache and 87% of illness which plague us comes as a result of our thought life. What we think about actually affects the body physically as well as emotionally.
Did you know that the average person has over 30,000 thoughts a day according to researchers. The bible reads in Proverbs 23:7 as a person thinks that is what they will become. Research shows that fear alone triggers more than 1,400 known physical and chemical responses and activates more than 30 different hormones by itself, can you imagine what unforgiveness, hatred and bitterness triggers.
It has been proven intellectually and medically why it is vital to have a forgiving heart not to mention the biblical reason for such like forgive that you maybe forgiven when you ask your heavenly Father to forgive you of your misdeeds. Matter of fact, the Word says that if you don't forgive others then your heavenly Father will not forgive you its as simple as that.
When we as women take care of our spiritual and physical needs we in return become better wives, mothers, sisters, mentors, friends and women of God.
We then have the ability to become spiritually focused, emotionally strong, intellectually capable, domestically balanced, economically sharp and possess unquestionable character to be all that God has called us to be in our homes, ministry and community.
We become the Proverbs 31 woman, below are some tips on building lasting relationships.
Keys to building strong relationships - Relationships that are marked by respect and trust last longer. Recognize your own value by embracing your identity in Christ and not settling for anything less.
Recognize the value of other people by remembering that they to are made in God’s image. The golden rule here is treat others how you would like to be treated and according to Proverbs in order to have friends you must prove yourself to be friendly.
Keep taking the risks necessary to reach out to others, knowing that it is worthwhile to do so for the bible states be not weary in well doing which means just do what is right in the sight of God and He will reward your efforts.
Learn vital social skills like: listening without interrupting, not dominating a conversation, learning something new to contribute to the relationship, knowing when to use humor, and reading facial expressions and body language well.
Learn how to ask for what you need in a relationship, how to cooperate well with others, and how to affirm others.
Lead in your areas of strength and allow others to lead in theirs. Set appropriate boundaries around your time, energy, and affection so your relationships will function well.
Learn how to solve problems creatively, deal with difficult people wisely, speak up assertively, and let go of emotional baggage that is weighing you down.
Look to your relationship with Jesus Christ as the model of the ultimate relationship. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6
How to distribute your time wisely - look to manage your time correctly so it does not manage you. Know that if you control your time well, you can achieve more.
Ask God to give you the right point of view on issues so you will have a peace about it and avoid pointless stress.
Learn to seek God’s wisdom first before asking for opinions, in Proverbs it states in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct and guide your path, then seek or look for godly wisdom in someone who's life exemplify God's word. Psamls 1:1 gives excellent advise when it comes to who we look to for advice and it reads, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, meaning that our mentors should be one that does not take advice from the ungodly neither is their lifestyle a hinderance to unbelievers and lastly they do not spend their time gossiping about others. In the words of Proverbs hang with the wise and you become wise, hang with fools and you become a fool.
if you seek the righteousness of God above everything else and live righteously, which means to make the right choices about everything you say and do and if by chance you happen to make a mistake be honest enough to say hey, I messed up forgive me Lord and in the book of 1 John 1-9 it reads God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, He forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong. (God's Word translation 1995)
Spend quality time knowing God, take on His character, serve Him, represent Him in every aspect of your life, and bring others to Him.
Learn to discern your priorities, and schedule your time around what is most important, rather than just what seems urgent at the time.
If possible, start your mornings off mediating, reading, and talking with the Lord. I love Benny Hinn’s book Good Morning Holy Spirit. It is a nice way to start your day and in doing so you take control of your day instead of allowing the enemy to take control by filling it with problems and despair. Jesus said you can and will have what you say, God has given you the ability to speak your world into existence, you are the thermostat of your environment for the Word declares life and death are in the power of the tongue. What are you saying?
Pray about your to-do list and seek God’s guidance about it. Set both long- and short-term goals for different areas of your life, physical, spiritual, financial, personal, relational, educational, occupational, and socially and plan specific ways to use your time to meet each of those goals. View interruptions and opportunities as stepping-stones to learn something new.
Accept responsibility for the choices you have made about how to use your time, and be willing to face the penalty, for example, if you’ve decided to enroll your kids in many extracurricular activities, you’ll have little time to prepare dinner on weeknights. Make changes to your schedule when you need to do so, being willing to let go of a current activity when you decide to add a new one. The most important thing I believe we can learn as women is how to say “No” to requests for your time that don’t match up with what is most important to you right now.
Because we as women wear so many hats, try to delegate tasks to others whenever it is not necessary for you to do a job yourself. Understand that, although teaching someone else to do a task takes more time in the short run, it saves time in the end.
Program time often to rest and fit into place leisure activities you enjoy. Estimate your schedule from time to time to see what changes need to be made. Regularly ask yourself: What is the best use of my time, right now?” Break large projects down into small chunks so you can finish them by working diligently over time.
Use idle time such as time spent in a doctor’s waiting room or in line to pick your child up from school by carrying material with you to help knock down some of your to-do list items. Organize your home and office so you will not waste time looking for things. Simplify your life so you will be free to use your time for what matters most to you.
How to lead your group effectively - Whenever you are leading a group, get to know each of the group members well. Find out what their character is like. Recognize their spiritual gifts and natural talents. Encourage each person in the group to contribute in the ways that he or she can add best. Start and end your group meetings on time. Create a non-threatening atmosphere and allow everyone to participate in discussions.
Agree upon your group’s purpose and goals. Encourage all points of view. Let the group decide all questions of judgment. Keep agenda items brief and clear. Make sure proceedings are orderly. Clarify unclear statements. Encourage group members to think creatively. Seek to reach clear decisions and make clear plans. Pray for each person in your group. Help each one feel accepted and important. Try to bring out the best in your group members by encouraging them. Be decisive. Share your leadership by inviting others to contribute their ideas freely and empowering them to assume responsibilities to carry out the group’s goals.
Ask God to give you a vision for what your group should accomplish, and share it with all the group members. Help your group members keep their expectations realistic and their discussions on track. Keep them focused on your shared goals as you work together. Periodically re-examine your group’s goals, activities, resources, and processes to see what changes might need to be made.
How to resolve conflict effectively - know that, as a leader, you can help, people use conflict for creative change. Do not avoid conflict. Instead, confront conflict when it is small, before it blows into something larger. Point those in conflict toward common goals. Work toward the shared goal of solving the problem, and pray for God’s guidance. Focus on issues rather than personalities. Clarify whether one or several issues must be dealt with, and deal with one issue at a time. Recognize the feelings and concerns that others have in the situation. Focus on the facts of the situation instead of opinions or rumors. Keep everyone informed, and maintain a trusting and friendly attitude with him or her. Share rewards for success and share responsibility for failure.
Serving God is not difficult as some may think. If you believe that God is your heavenly Father and that He wants only the best for you, you will have a clearer understanding of the Bible. God is like a good parent that wants only the best for His children and like any good parent; He would never tell you to do something that might bring harm to your body, mind, or soul. The Bible is really a road map to better living.
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18
What is the word saying here; it is so amazing that when everything is going all right most times we feel as though we caused these things to happen. We often take credit for our wealth and become proud that our own hard work and cleverness have made us rich. It is so easy to get busy collecting and managing wealth that we push God right out of our lives. However, it is God who gives us everything we have, and it is God who asks us to manage it for Him.
Thank you for helping 21st Century Women's Ministry spread the Gospel to a lost and dying world. The Word reads in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (Life Application Bible)
If the Good News (which is the Gospel) we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who do not believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They do not understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
Everyone has the ability or accessibility to read the Good News, which is the Gospel. If you cannot afford a bible then the bible is available online free of charge. If you do not have the money for a bible, there is the public library where you can check it out free of charge. If you do not have transportation to get to your local library there is http://www.tbn.org/ who will send you a bible free of charge. So there are many ways you can obtain the Word.
The Gospel is available to anyone, except to those who refuse, reject or turn it down and choose not to believe. Satan is the god of this world. His work is to deceive, mislead, trick, betray, lie to, con and misinform you. He has blinded those who do not believe in Christ with the allure, attraction, appeal, charm, glamour, and fascination of money, power, and pleasures of this world.
What the enemy does is show you the beauty of these things going in but what he doesn't reveal or show you is that at the end these things without Christ will eventually destroy first your spiritual life and then evenually it will cost you your life. It reminds me of when Satan tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness with these things
Matt. 4:3-11 tells the story. Jesus rebuked the enemy with the Word saying get behind me Satan for it is written you must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.
I find it so funny that most of the things Satan tries to tempt us with God already promised that we can have them. 3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. The only difference is that God’s blessings are under condition with conjunctions like if you be willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. But if you choose not to obey then these curses will be upon you.
Read Deuteronomy 28:1-26 blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience.
`
Those who reject, refuse, or turn down Christ and prefer or desire their own pursuits, have unknowingly, naively made Satan their god. When Jesus said He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
